Michael K. Anderson's Luscious Nature Photography on Display in January @ Wussow's

Not only has Wussow's been a staple of the local music scene, it has also be a venue for local artists to share their work. This month's featured artist is Michael K. Anderson, an artist who grew up in Superior's East End along the Nemadji River. He spent a lot of time packing peanut butter sandwiches and walking the woods along the river. Later in his life he explored the Superior Municipal Forests and waterways of the St. Louis River Estuary by canoe acting as a guide & naturalist. The woods and water have been a lifelong source of inspiration.

According to his artist statement, t
hese explorations lead to his interest in photography. It also facilitated the realization of his inner journey of healing through his connection with Nature. For Michael, this connection with Nature and photography has become a powerful means of self-exploration & self-identity: leading to a deepening sense of purpose & meaning.

Here are some of the individual images for your enjoyment. If you really like one, why enjoy it for a month when you can own it and enjoy it the rest of your life?

Michael's intent with these images is to send a message, tell a story, and offer self-reflection to the observer.
