Almost Wordless Wednesday: Eggs

If you're a baby boomer, you probably remember when eggs came in a carton that was marked Small or Medium or Large or Extra Large.  Usually grey. If you lived somewhere rural you may have even purchased these from a neighbor. ("When you live in the country everybody is your neighbor, on this one thing you can rely."--"Y'All Come"-- Bill Monroe)

You can even buy them hard boiled with their shells removed.
Saves you from the complicated matter of boiling eggs yourself.
Times have changed.

In Thailand and Laos, un-refrigerated fresh eggs are commonly sold by 10's, counted out, and put into a plastic bag.
They're also sold by 30's, usually in a plastic bag, but sometimes they'll give you the flat, uncovered tray that they come in, in 30's.
If I see those trays stacked at least 5 or 6 high, I'll buy the eggs. If there's only one tray left, I figure they're probably getting a little old.
I have a way to wrap the handle of plastic bag full of eggs around the grip on my bicycle handlebars, so it can swing without banging into anything. Very rarely does one get cracked.
