Friday Night Art Crawl and Other Arts Activities This Weekend

Years ago when the internet was young, I discovered it was a great resource for humor and began looking for some jokes on various topics. I remember finding websites with 20 pages of German jokes and other kinds of ethnic humor. When the Lawyer Jokes pages appeared, one site alone at 108 pages of not so kind barbs.

I mention this because there seems to be a shortage of artist humor out there. Nevertheless, let's start with this and then highlight things to do here through the weekend.

An artist asked the gallery owner if there had been much interest in his paintings on exhibit there. "I have good news and bad news," the owner replied. "The good news is that a gentleman inquired about your work and wondered if it would appreciate in value after your death. When I told him it would, he bought all 15 of your paintings."

"That's wonderful," the artist exclaimed. "What's the bad news?"

"The guy was your doctor."

The Twin Ports Second Friday Art Crawl continues tomorrow evening. Here are a handful of recommended events to take in on Friday, August 14. Tomorrow night you can find yet another round of impressive exhibitions, openings and happenings.  See if you can hit the following four.
